Heavyweight boxer Derek Chisora headbutted a Deliveroo rider during row outside a restaurant in London on Sunday.

The 40-year-old was eating a meal with his two daughters at a restaurant in Hampstead when he clashed with a Deliveroo driver who was cycling on the pavement.

In the video uploaded to social media, Chisora was seen grabbing the driver, who angrily said to the boxer: ‘Who are you putting your hands on, bro? I swear, get off me now.’

Chisora’s response could not be heard, although it’s understood that he had asked the rider to dismount due to concerns that he could hit people and dogs on the pavement.

The driver then became more agitated and pushed the boxer before saying: ‘Do you think I’m mad, bro?’

It was at that point, Chisora headbutted the man, who staggered back, while onlookers gasped.

One onlooker could be heard in the video saying: ‘Let’s get out of here.’

Chisora, who was the former British heavyweight champion and has held both the WBA and WBO International heavyweight titles, is currently training for his main-event fight against Joe Joyce at The O2 on July 27.

Chisora’s last fight in the ring was in August 2023 when he beat 42-year-old heavyweight Gerald Washington via unanimous decision.

Before that, he fought Tyson Fury for the WBC heavyweight title in December 2022 but was knocked out in the 10th round at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

At his press conference to promote his fight with Joyce in May, Chisora arrived over 90 minutes late and asked Joyce if they could smoke weed together after their clash later this month.

‘Sorry I’m late, I was in my Russian sauna. I thought the press conference was tomorrow, not today,’ Chisora said.

‘By the time we finish the fight, someone is going to have less brain cells left in their brain.’

Chisora later said to Joyce: ‘After I beat you up, can we smoke weed together? Don’t groan man, don’t worry about it. Don’t look at them lot, they might smoke weed as well. We’ll smoke weed together, don’t worry about it. Come to my house, everybody comes to my house.’
